Ravina and Pete arrived back at the basecamp with their stolen cart of poisoned food and and nearly-dead guard. Ravina asked to speak to Odds, Bean, and Jay alone. This didn’t happen. Most of the camp ended up crowding over.

“We’ve had an interesting day,” Ravina said, “but first, everything in the cart is poisoned so don’t eat it.”

Than, obviously repeating a script, she told the story of her ‘heroic’ deeds, including killing Sir Hiss. She then pawned off cleaning the mess up onto Odds. Odds was not amused.

“It’s a shame,” Odds said, barely holding his anger in, “Sir Hiss would have made an excellent bartering chip to stop Lady Blackberry’s upcoming nuptials.

Bean, meanwhile, went to tend on the guard and to assess the poison.

Ravina tried to dodge the anger directed at her by demonstrating that she could now do magic. Odds doubled down and Jay joined in, together they attempted to co-parent Ravina to find out what really happened to to get her to understand that what she was doing wasn’t okay.

Odds told her that the only way to fix this was for Ravina to publicly take the blame so that the rats didn’t turn on the townsfolk of Nottinghill after their shipment went missing.

Jay took Ravina to deal with the poisoned food, while he escorted the revived guard to someplace they could talk away from the fox archer.

Odds recognized the guard – a friendly cat named “Tame” Jasper Mittens. Jasper was a gentle enough guard who was working with the sheriff, who could keep Jasper safe. He was willing to join the base camp. Odds, though, thought it might be better to send Jasper to Turnip Reed, where the cat could train the farmers in combat. Odds wrote a quick letter of introduction and packed a small jar of honey to send with Jasper.

Meanwhile, Jay and Ravina moved earth to bury the cart to keep it safe from others. After that, he escorted the (blindfolded) guard away.

Odds spent time with the bees to calm down, sketching out designs for box beds as he did so. Eventually he sought out Jasper the rooster and Jillian. They put their heads together on the box beds and came up with a working plan. It turned out that this Jasper had cooper skills and a dream of making his own booze and tasting hall.

Ravina and Pete tried to garner good will by putting themselves to work tidying up the place. But Ravina quickly grew bored and started using magic to ‘haunt’ the ruins… nearly giving Naul a heart attack.

Jay

Jay ended up escorting Jasper the guard all the way to Turnip’s farm and made introductions. Turnip was noncommittal, but didn’t kick Jasper out immediately. He said he would be willing to think about taking Jasper in in the morning.

Next, Jay returned to Nottinghill and went to work. The tavern was buzzing with guards. Jay quickly learned that during the recent heist of a food cart, the criminals self-identified as Pete Smalls, Ravina, Fizzboom, and Ferminbrine.

Jay also checked in with Raddish. Raddish told him that the Blackberry wedding would be held infront of his manor, and that it was possible that Lady Blackberry probably wouldn’t live much past it….

Next, Jay went to the Cracked wheel to check in with his shady contact, Halftail. There, he was given a shield that bad been designed for hedgehogs. There was no new information on Cherla.

Finally, Jay returned home.

Bean’s Dream

That night, Bean dreamt of a beautiful, primordial woods. All went quiet, and shadows began encroaching. There was the smell of something rotten and an echoing roar. A giant creature was at the base of the great tree, tearing at its roots. The beast looked up as if searching for Bean…

The Next Day

Once the team was awake and Jay was home, they discussed what Jay had learned and planned a wedding heist. After a plan was solidified, Bean cleansed the poisoned food. Then, both bean and jay headed to Nottinghill.

Odds then approached Pete and Ravina with requests. He acknowledged that Ravina was clever with stealth and asked if she would put some time towards helping to better camouflage the base camp. He acknowledged Pete’s martial skills and requested that he give Petalfoot some combat training.

Pete took Petalfoot up the hill to start training and Ravina had a conversation with Jillian and gave her some tips about staying hidden. Ravina then turned her attention to helping Naul search for secret doors. They found one, and worked together to open it. Ravina immediately scampered through the door, not checking for traps. She was halfway down the visible hall when she found herself rapidly being buried in sand! Soon, only her hand was still visible.

Naul was shocked and terrified to see Ravina get buried and the only other person even in sight was Odds at the stone doorway of the ruins.

The Plan

1. In 3 Days time (Saturday – Market Day) Petunia will smuggle Bean to Lady Blackberry
2. Bean to teleport Petunia and Blackberry out to predetermined location where Ravina is waiting
3. Swap Petunia and Ravina, let Petunia make her escape
4. Stop in the middle of the Market, Ravina makes a big speech about making off with the bride to be (hopefully preventing the sheriff from using a stand-in bride)

Leading up to the event:

• Bean: help out at church of Sol, start rumor mill about cruel sheriff and unwilling bride
• Jay: spread rumors cruel sheriff and unwilling bride
• Odds: plan the party’s trip to the great battle
• Ravina: make and practice her big “I’m liberating the bride” speech

Ravina had to make 2 will saves. She failed both times.

Odds was just inside the main door of the ruins when Ravina started getting buried.
