Jay

Jay was wandering alone, in the dark. They stumbled into an ancient ruin, and a room full of sand, chunks of salt, and a brazier. After much experimentation, they put ended up placing a chunk of salt into the brazier. Something rose to the surface in return…

Bean

Bean grew up with Cherla and her crew. At first, they were stealing from the rich to survive. Then they started terrorizing the poor. Bean struggled with this.

Then one day Bean had to much. Cherla attacked a family of rabbits, terrorizing their children. Bean tried to intervein, but failed. In the end, Bean left the crew.

Ravina

Ravina and Pete Smalls lay in wait, ready to ambush the sheriff to free Lady Blackberry, Ravina’s “just a friend.” When the carriage arrived, the ambush was sprung. Ravina and Pete made an opening. Ravina threw open the door and reached Lady Blackberry, but she failed to rescue her.

However, with some clever sleight of hand, she still won something off the sheriff. She stole his badge.

Odds’Mabobbins

Rats were swarming the capital city. Odds, the bee keeper, was watching the king’s call to aid from the garden when he heard a quiet voice call his name. He turned to find a young mouse, Petalfoot, hiding in the bushes, terrified.

Odds bade his bees goodbye, and told them to flee. Then he picked up a fallen sword and guided Petalfoot to an abandoned boat. Together, they fled as the city fell.

1 Year Later

Travelers Meet

Ravina was heading North to meet up with Pete Smalls in Noting Hill, when she encountered a pair of travelers, a hare and a mouse, set up to camp at the base of a hill. They were wary, but introduced themselves and Petalfoot and Odds’Mabobbins Hoff. Petalfoot was quickly won over by some chocolate. Neither of them had heard of Ravina or her exploits.

A temporary alliance was formed. They camped together for the night, then all started north.

Rats!

Jay was napping in the hollow of a great tree at the edge of the woods, when he woke to the sound of pursuit. He saw an otter and a raccoon rush past him into the plains. The otter dropped his backpack while fleeing.

Shortly after them, came a squad of rats – intent on blood.

The rats caught up, and battle commenced. When out of nowhere, came a whistling arrow, followed shortly after by a towering, bounding hare. Ravina and Odds had joined the fight. With their help, the battle was quick and decisive.

The four fighters tentatively introduced each other: Bean, Pebble Shorestalker, Ravina, and Odds’Mabobbins. Ravina, the self-proclaimed folk hero, went to loot the bodies, when she saw something moving in the bushes. She struck out with her dagger, stabbing. Petalfoot burst up from the bushes, clutched her injured arm.

“Oh, guess she learned a life lesson,” Ravina shrugged. then she turned back to looting without bothering to apologize check on her traveling companion.

Bean went straight to the injured mouse to cast a healing spell. Furious, Odds tried to grab Ravina, but the slippery fox was not easy to catch. Tentions were high… which was roughly around the time that Shorestalker noticed his backpack being stolen by a hedgehog – Jay.

Shorestalker took off after Jay, who vanished into thin air (well, actually into a flask). He searched the area, but could find no sign of them. Shorestalker started screaming out into the woods, begging for his bag back.

Jay came back out of his flask and returned the bag. Everyone agreed to camp together for the night, and pershaps travel Northwards the next day.

Notes:

Jay is a heavy drinker and tries to drown out a voice.

Odds and Petalfoot do regular warm-up exercises.
